I am so scared of this war
I don't know what would happen and I have so much anxiety cause of all this situation, I live in Kharkiv, Ukraine. I just so scared of this.
First and last post
Local guy here. All major cities airports got bombed (w/missiles), borders are overwhelmed with ppl willing to leave (16-18hrs in lane). Leaving cities and moving between states (oblast) is hard, since lack of transport and it being heavily overloaded. More of that all military obliged men cant leave without informing and getting papers signed by military registration and enlistment office. Men can't leave counry. Ukraine is in the war situation. This day brought a hell of a morning (5:00 was like five hours ago). I fully understand OP. I hope he gets better. Shocking times could bring him back to life, i just wish him to literally stay alive. God bless us.
Edit: Explosions and/or war actions marked on map https://imgur.com/a/WDy7ToA
Edit2: r/ukraina has some info in english. Not much, but it's something. Sort by NEW
Last one: No further updates, cause It got worse as far as it could. Full scale war in the streets, residential areas being carpet bombed by Grad and Iskander and mrls in Kharkiv and Kyiv and more other cities. They murder innocents, citizens, just to inflict terror and suppress ppl. Full scale invasion is on.
Video footage from Kharkiv i uploaded a day or so ago https://m.imgur.com/a/Ik5PWQS
Edit 1: Thank you everyone for your support, I really appreciate it For people who say that russian people did nothing to prevent it: today we had huge protests across the country (unfortunately in my town is was quelled quickly), I also know that a lot of people are going to go on strike soon, but as i already said there arent much things regular people can do
Im Ukrainian, and war have escalated
After all this time of fear. Guess im finally accepted it. I can't run, I can't leave my family. A can't change nothing, only thing left to do is wait. I can spend rest of the days living in fear, or being with my family, enjoying what i have. And i chose the last.
I’m a foreign student in dnipro, ukraine
Our university kept giving us statements absolving themselves of any responsibility. They told us if we wanted to go back home we would do online classes and come back in two weeks when situation calmed down. Also told us ukraine crisis was fake news. Warned us if we missed classes while we’re here, it’s our responsibility to solve it or we get expelled. With finals looming many contemplated leaving. Well today I decided to skip classes and sleep at home and when I woke up, I see my university students panicking, teachers telling us to calm down. The Russians bombed/ shelled/ did their bs on the city of dnipro and I heard, also on Odessa. The state of emergency is declared and transportation and airports will also come to halt. Basically I’m going to be stuck in this bs like my dad was stuck in the middle of saddam’s invasion of Kuwait.
Update1: I went out. Damn, people everywhere. The nearby pharmacy has a long queue outside of it. Went to the grocery store (ATB for Ukrainians), it’s jam packed. They ran out of chickens, rice, grechka most of the cheese is gone, plenty of onions but they look terrible, the bread shelves are empty, the bakery got baguettes so I took 2, 2x croissants, 2x milk bottle, 3x hummus, 2x cornflakes, 4x apples and a packet of rice- price shot up. I paid 514 what typically would cost me 350 Some people are shopping and going back to their homes. Others are loading up their car and preparing to leave.
To fellow Ukrainian people.
Translation: Caution! Please do not share any information about Ukrainian forces and their positions on the internet. I’ve already seen several posts which are sharing position of our forces, please be aware that this information may be used against us. Thank you for understanding.
im rn im odessa and heard a bomb exploding
Just another post of scared sshitless teen from Ukraine
Sorry for wrong English and formatting, I’m on mobile
Just seen some video where russian plane launches rochets on your average village in kharkiv (i assume that was kharkiv)
I live in similar village but in Kiev. Like imagine sitting for dinner and next moment you’re probably severely wounded or dead. I’m literally shaking all goddamn day..
My mom knows someone in the army and they think that our oligarchs homes gonna get bombed today, or that Chechnya army gonna enter Kiev from Chernobyl. I reaaaaaaaally hope at least something from this is false cause we live kinda close to oligarchs homes (in close area) and if Chechnya enters there’s might be literal bloodshed. Hope we survive this shit…
A Ukrainian father says goodbye to his family, while he stays behind to fight the Russians
The Anonymous collective is officially in cyber war against the Russian government. #Anonymous #Ukraine
Where is Putin?
It has been a while since he has actually spoken to the public. Since last week? For someone that has pushed for this war, shouldn't he be loud and proud?
Presidential office: out of 120-150 military planes that have been bombarding Ukraine, 83 have been downed.
"Marina Ovsyannikova, who staged an anti-war protest during live TV news prog last night, is appearing in court in Moscow now, charged with "organising an unauthorised public event" (protest)"
Something I've noticed over the past week or so here: almost every Ukrainian I spoke to has made it clear that they blame not only Putin, but the average Russian as much (or more) for this war. The view is: we overthrew our corrupt government, and they accept their murderous one.
